The Orang Asli Ministry, Holy Family Church Kajang conducted a Flood Relief Programme at Kg Orang Asli Kg Sg Lui, Hulu Langat, Selangor commenced three days from 20th -22nd Dec 2021 in response to the village being badly hit by the floods, heavy rain and strong winds. Based on the community’s immediate needs clothes, water, candles, biscuits, baby diapers, cooked meals were distributed. Upon further enquiry they said they needed sleeping mats, pillows and blankets.  Lack of water, and since electricity and communication lines were down, they were isolated cleaning the mud from the houses proved a daunting task. Traditional home built on stilts apparently had taken the least brunt of the floods compared to the modern brick PPR homes and some traditional homes built on flat grounds.  Observation shows that the access road to the village in partially damaged and in dire need of repairs. The programme was successful as it was carried out by the OA Ministry and participated by volunteers from other faith group volunteers through word of mouth providing support, donations and transportation.
